OCR: Emancipation Proclmation Display Ceremony Page 78 EVENT : Ceremony for the opening of a special display of the Emancipation Proclamation WHEN : Thursday, Dec. 31, at 10 a.m. WHERE : National Archives Rotunda, Constitution Ave. between 7th and 9th Sts ., NW. Public enter through Constitution Ave. entrance. DETAILS: The ribbon-cutting ceremony marks the opening of a special display of the Emancipation Proclamation. This is the first time since 1979 that the document has been displayed at the National Archives and the first time ever that all five pages have been exhibited. This occasion commemorates the 130th anniversary of the signing of the document by Abraham Lincoln on Jan. 1, 1863. This event is free and open to the public, space permitting.
